Cheshire East Council is making it easier to report potholes and other local issues with the launch of a new online tool called traCE.

Launching on Wednesday 23 July, traCE will replace the council's current third-party solution, Fix My Street.

Accessible 24/7 from any device, traCE is a map-based platform that allows anyone to quickly and easily report issues such as potholes, fallen trees, abandoned vehicles and fly-tipping within Cheshire East.

The tool can also be used to receive progress updates on previously reported issues and subscribe to reports raised by others. This feature is designed to reduce duplicate reports – saving time and enabling council services to focus on new issues.

Developed in-house, the new tool is part of the council's wider transformation programme. The programme focuses on improving delivery of high-demand services by using digital technology to enhance the customer experience, drive efficiencies and deliver financially sustainable services.

traCE will launch on Wednesday 23 July. More information and a link to access traCE will be available at www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/traCE once the system is live and ready for use.

To report any issues that present an immediate danger, call 0300 123 5020 or 0300 123 5025 out of hours.
