New Mid-ARS walks

All Audlem Ramblers Society (ARS) members will be familiar with the Long-ARS walks on the second Saturday of each month and Short-ARS walks normally on the last Saturday.

There appears to be some demand for slightly longer walks and it has been resolved by the ARS committee that in months where there are five Saturdays, as an experiment, an additional Mid ARS walk of around 7/9 miles will be introduced to the programme.

This year there will be additional walks on May 16th, August 15th and October 24th. Details to be issued later.

It was also decided that Short-ARS walks, introduced four years ago, should revert, in the main, to walks within a 30/40 minute drive of Audlem, be around 5 miles in length, without too much ascent and hopefully without too many stiles.

As a result some changes have been made to the Short ARS schedule and the revised list of walks for 2015 will be published shortly.
