There's a new Article on the Homepage about the Audlem Online logo which offers readers to design an alternative.

Regular visitors to the Chatbox will know that there have been some comments about Audlem Online's logo from a number of readers. Why, they ask, did the webteam choose a logo that looks like an unidentifiable organ from the human body.

Supporters of the logo, however, respond that it's a politically charged representation of the true Cheshire before Governments, first in 1974 and then 2009, messed around with this proud county's boundaries – notably last year, with the contentious split into 'Cheshire East' and 'Cheshire West and Chester'.

Not only that, the 'map' logo shows where Audlem sits on the map of Cheshire.

In the interests of democracy, however, the webteam is happy to run a competition where those that wish to can submit their own designs for an Audlem Online logo. These will then be considered as possible replacement logos.

What best represents Audlem? Is it St James' Church, or the canal? Possibly the Buttermarket, or is it the memorial in the Square? Or dairy cattle grazing contentedly in green pastures? The choice is yours.

Check out the Homepage article and download the logo template if you want to have a go at an alternative design. The webteam is looking forward to seeing the suggestions that come forward. All suggestions will be carefully considered.
