The success of the Audlem Community Gym, situated in the Annexe to the Public Hall, has allowed the gym managers to enhance the equipment,
This replaces the original cross-trainer that was kindly donated to the gym when it opened and has done sterling work for nearly a year, It is still functioning well in spite of the amount of use, but the success of the gym has meant that it needed to be replaced by a sturdier professional piece of kit.
This is a new addition to the equipment. It is more suitable than the upright bike for those with lower back problems, and is gentler on the joints.
This is designed to facilitate abdominal work to exercise the core muscles of the body.
We now have a set of kettlebells, that can be used for a variety of exercises.
The opportunity was taken while installing these new bits of kit to rearrange the gym slightly, particularly to allow better view of the TV from some angles.
This is now surplus to requirements – the gym management would be interested to hear from anyone who might have an interest in having it. It is shown on the third photo.
Please address any enquiries about the gym to Ben Clark on 01270 811006.
