When Audlem Community First Responders had problems with their ageing vehicle during the winter months, the team decided to set about finding funds for something more reliable.

Less than eight months after beginning their fund raising project, they are in a position to order a new vehicle.

Along with generous donations from parish councils and individuals, the team was awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery and in July were granted £5000 by Cheshire Community Action.

The new Jeep Patriot, supplied by Cumbo Jeep of Stoke, will be delivered within the next couple of weeks and villagers will soon see it in action around the village and surrounding areas.

Many thanks to Cumbo Jeep for the discount they gave the group on the new vehicle and to all the fundraisers and donations, which enabled the purchase of the new vehicle.
