From October to May, Audlem Mill will be the venue for a range of one day needlework and craft courses, aimed at beginners, or those with little experience. The courses will be held on the first floor of the Mill, which opened earlier this year as a needlework shop.
The course subjects will initially include wool spinning, cross stitch, bobbin lace (2 days), rag rugging, knitting, ribbon and bead embroidery, crochet, and beading. Other subjects are being planned. Though Peter and Chris Silvester are organising the courses, the tutor will be a specialist in the particular subject.
Courses will generally be held on a Saturday or Sunday, but Audlem Mill would be pleased to run a course on any day for local groups or societies (for 8-10 participants).
The course fee of £45 per person includes materials used on the day, and all refreshments and a buffet lunch.
