New Clerk/Manager for the cemetery

The end of an era

After serving as clerk/manager for the past 23 years, last night -- Wednesday -- Ralph Warburton officially handed over to the new incumbent, Ariana Roscoe.
Ralph says that he has made many friends over the years in the role, and would like to thank everyone for the valued support given to him over the years, helping to make the grounds so spectacular, culminating in being awarded a Gold by the Royal Horticultural Society at a ceremony in Bolton last year.
Ralph will of course be on hand to help Adriana, and wishes her every success in her new important role.
The Committee of the Burial Board were pleased to make Ralph life long Honorary President in recognition of all the work he has done in serving the village and surrounding areas.
