There's a new article on the Homepage reflecting on the effects of splitting Cheshire in two with the creation of Cheshire East and Cheshire West & Chester earlier this year.
While the article is written by Bob Cartwright, much of the content is the words of the veteran and much respected MP for Crewe & Nantwich, the late Gwyneth Dunwoody, in the House of Commons in December 2007 when debating the splitting of the county in two.
The article was sparked by the front page lead story in this week's Nantwich Chronicle that suggests that the Nantwich Food & Drink Festival held last weekend might be the last. This is because Cheshire East cannot say if it will continue supporting the annual event.
Articles published in the Features section are very much the personal views of the writers. Recent articles have included Martin Dominic and Roland Hall with their views on wind farms and environmental issues. Billy Gibbons has also entertained Audlem Online readers with recollections of his first visit to the United States.
