At the Parish Council meeting on Monday evening, it emerged that 30 residents have responded to the Parish Council in their search to find people willing to help prepare the Residents First Neighbourhood Plan.
Heather Jones, chairman of the Parish Council, said that the Council was very pleased with the response. They are having a couple more meetings with Cheshire East to make sure that the framework for the Neighbourhood Plan is properly set up. Then the Audlem Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will have its first session, after which there will be a meeting with the volunteers, and the various tasks and responsibilities will be planned.
Terms of reference for the Steering Group are being defined and the Parish Council has been successful in its bid to get over £3000 funding to help meet the costs of the Neighbourhood Plan exercise, with an opportunity to bid for more funding early in 2015.
