A Kinsey Heath resident asks: "Over the past 2 weeks has anyone in the Village been aware of a large number of lorries carrying sand? They are blue and white and come from Leek and travel in two's and three's.

They go up Kettle Lane empty making a dreadful noise as they are travelling at speed and they return full of sand. Yesterday – Friday – was particularly bad and they have been up down twice already and it is only 8.10am.

The lane is used by cyclists, dog walkers and horse riders as well as all the usual traffic but this is out of the ordinary and is causing a serious hazard not to mention further damaging the surface of the road.

This is just a thought but has someone started on the site for the Wind Farm by the back door?
