It's that time of year again and my diary is packed but I am sure you will be glad to hear I have been able to book three evenings for my visit to Audlem. I will be shown round by Elves with local knowledge and who, because it is the season of giving, will all be carrying collection boxes! But, as I am visiting at the invitation of ASET and the Nantwich Round Table, it will all be in a good cause. So do give generously.

On Friday 9th December I will be arriving on my sleigh at Corbrook Court at 5.30pm. Fifteen minutes later I meet up with the Elves at the White Lion in Hankelow before, at 6.10pm, we travel along Audlem Road through Hankelow and the Green to the Warburton's house before returning past the White Lion along Longhill Lane.

By 7.15pm we should be arriving in Windmill Lane, passing through Buerton, Festival Avenue, along the Woore Road and, via Buerton House, travel to Chapel End.

At 8.15pm, we move from Chapel End along Kettle Lane to the Paddock Lane junction where we turn back to Chapel End, cross the Woore Road down Longhill Lane and back to the White Lion in Hankelow. From there it is off to Brookfield Golf Club where I finish my evening's tour at 9.00pm.

On Saturday 10th December I start out at 5.30 from Spout Farm on Longhill Lane to the Woore Road and turn towards Audlem at around 6.00pm where I first visit Salford. From 7.20pm I will travel along Heathfield Road, Monks Lane up to Little Heath before moving to Daisy Bank Crescent, Emberton Place, Broadways, Sycamore Drive, on to Hillary Drive and then to Stafford Street. I will visit the Cheshire Country Home at the Old Grammar School before travelling up Vicarage Lane and then along Cheshire Street as far as Broadways before returning to village centre. By 8.00pm, I should be in Old Vicarage Garden and then Windmill Drive before I finish my tour that evening at 9.00pm. It sounds like a really enjoyable evening for all, including me!

On Sunday 11th December my tour starts at the Shroppie Fly at 5.30pm. I am then off to the Tollgate Drive estate from 6.00pm before returning to the Whitchurch Road and then on to Moorsfield Road, Copthorne Drive, Holly Bank, Heywood Ridge, Weaver View, Mill Lane, Green Lane before reaching Cox Bank via Swanbach at about 7.15pm.

At 7.50pm we travel along Bagley Lane to Kynsal Lodge Farm and then Kettle Lane and Paddock Lane. The Elves and I will then be off to the Bridge Inn and the Shroppie Fly where I will finish my visit to Audlem at 9.00pm.

After that it's back home for me and almost two weeks of hard work packing and sorting all the presents. I will then see you again (but you won't see me) late on Christmas Eve. Please, don't forget to put out the sherry and mince pies. It really is appreciated.
