Music session alive again at the Bridge

8.30 pm on Mondays

There has been an acoustic music session every Monday night in Audlem since time immemorial, and certainly since 1998. Its success (or otherwise!) has been down to the fact that it is not a folk music session, but rather that all music is played. George Formby, classical violin, Bob Marley and "folk" have all been welcome.

Over the years all Audlem pubs have hosted, and evicted, the session. In its glorious heyday around 2000 in the Lord Combermere the bar was packed from 7.30pm, pie & peas were served at 10.30, and going-home time was an indeterminate feast.

Things have changed since then (including the infamous Lord C toilets!), and the regulars have got older.

Lucy & Simon at the Shroppie Fly have hosted us for the last three years, but with their departure and the pub's closure, we needed to find a new home.

Adam at The Bridge Inn has kindly stepped in to offer us a home, so we are back in business. Come and join us from 8.30pm every Monday: you'll be made most welcome.
We had a not-so-dry-run last week: all went well as the pic shows. Guitar, hurdy-gurdy (don't ask, come and hear it), flute, violin, whistles, melodeon and voices were all in evidence.
