The Audlem Music & Arts Festival gets into full swing today with full day programmes of music over the weekend and Bank Holiday Monday as well as poetry and art.

The Art & Crafts exhibition opens this morning at 10.00am until 5.00pm in the Methodist Church Hall. It's big, it's bright and it features work by local artists, both professional and amateur.

Do look in at the exhibition. You will be amazed at the variety and quality of the work.

There's music to suit all tastes on the three stages at the pubs during the day plus in the Scout & Guide Hall, the courtyard at Number Eleven Cheshire Street, in the Methodist Church and at St James' Church.

Readers will no doubt find it useful to keep in touch with what's on and where through the festival's presence on most of, if not all, of the usual social media channels.

The festival website can be found at audlemfestival.com, you can follow it on Facebook at facebook.com/audlemfestival and whilst you're at it they're also on Instagram @audlemfestival

Failing all of the above, the paper-based programme is available in and around the village from the usual places.
