Muller planning decision could be today

There is concern that Borough planners and councillors might give the go-ahead today to Mr Muller's controversial plans for Canalside Yard without local people having a proper opportunity to see the plans.

At the so called site visit on Friday, which curiously did not involve a visit to the site and got no further than the pavement on Shropshire Street, some plans and a vague description of alterations were mentioned and waved around. These plans have not, however, been available at the Council offices for viewing and have only been added to the planning agenda at the last minute. The planning committee will today be urged to defer a decision until next month to allow Audlem residents to see and comment on these revisions. This is, after all, the biggest planning decision affecting the village centre in decades.
