Following our article on 15th February readers will have noticed that we have received several comments in Chatbox concerning a potential planning application for 133 Dwellings off Moorsfield Avenue, Audlem by the Muller property Group with access via Tollgate Drive.
At this stage the submission is for an EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) prior to submission of outline planning application. The Application number is 25/0449/EIA and can be accessed here :
https://pa.cheshireeast.gov.uk/planning/index.html?fa=getApplication&id=398814
Consultation on this submission closes on the 06 /03 /2025 which is before the next Parish Council meeting so APC views are unknown at this point.
The latest message we have received is from Debbie Ruscoe-Icke urging residents to provide comments as follows:
"At present Muller are stating a case to try and not have to do an EIA an environmental impact assessment on the land.
Effectively they are saying that they don't need to do a full EIA screening, and that all the other bumph they provide with the application will be sufficient
At present anyone can go onto the CEC planning and comment on what is planned in that document.
All the relevant factors of an EIA are biodiversity, cultural heritage, sociology economics, noise, landscape, geology and hydrology, air pollution and wildlife habitat.
In my opinion the developers can not mitigate all of these without carrying out an EIA survey and bringing this to CEC councils attention through local residents knowledge is the only way we may get this vitally important scoping survey necessitated.
Please register and vocalise your concerns if you have any!! "
