There were a number of comments to Audlem Online about this issue last night. The following note was from a local resident who did supply his name:
"Just a quick note to alert residents of the 'idiot youths' that sadly find it great entertainment to pelt passing vehicles with handfuls of mud whilst they hide in the alley/path to the school between Heathfield Road and Emberton Place (not sure of its exact name).
"I was hit twice – once on the way into the village and once when I turned round to see what was going on – there were at least 4 of (them)* one of whom was wearing a grey hoodie.
"This occurred at 9.50 last night. I stopped to investigate/ apprehend the sods but unfortunately they had made off. Other vehicles were hit as I walked to the alley.
So... parents...where were your kids this evening? Causing potential accidents? I may have thought of it as a prank but this is a very dangerous game to play. Not the first time it's happened to me....last year it was water filled balloons at 3.00pm in the afternoon!
Oh and by the way the police have been informed!
