MP writes to Post Office CEO

Local MP Antoinette Sandbach has written to the chief executive of Post Office Limited asking for assurances that a post office service will be maintained in Audlem.

She has told AudlemOnline that she will be back in touch as soon as she receives a response.

Dear Ms Vennells

I am writing to you regarding the recent closure of the Post Office in Audlem, Cheshire.

This closure has been a difficult decision for the postmaster and a blow for the village.

While the Post Office have told the BBC that they will retain a post office service in the village, the villagers and I would like assurances that this is indeed the case and would also like to know where you are planning to base this service.

I would appreciate it if you could look into this important matter and I look forward to a response at your earliest convenience.
