ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) have decided to be a little more adventurous after the last walk – and are going for a small mountain in Wales this coming Saturday.

Cnicht is only 689 metres and the short walk is about 5/6 miles. It is known as the Matterhorn of Wales but that is only for its looks, not its difficulty!

For the more adventurous, there is a longer walk of 9 miles taking in 2 additional mountains of Moelwyn Mawr (770m) and Moelwyn Bach (710m). In the event that the weather looks unfavourable at altitude, a back-up walk along the Dee Valley between Llangollen and Corwen will be considered.

As it's a bit further to travel, an 8.00 am start is required at Audlem car park.
