More news from this week's school newsletter (continued from yesterday's AudlemOnline news stories)

FASA news

A reminder that the Spring Disco timings are – EYFS/Key Stage One 4.30pm – 5.30pm and
Key Stage 2 5.45pm – 6.45pm. The discos will be held on Thursday 12th February, admission
is £2.00 and there will be hot dogs and other refreshments on sale at both discos.

The next FASA Film Night will be held in school on Thursday 5th March (5pm – 7pm), please look out for further details in newsletters over the coming weeks.

FASA are also busy planning a Parent Disco this will be held on Friday 27th March at the Public Hall. There will be a 80s and 90s theme for the evening and a hotpot supper to enjoy. The evening will run from 7.30pm – 12pm and tickets go on sale next week, available from the school office, priced at £7.

Please try to support these important fundraising events for school – don't forget all monies raised go directly to school to purchase curriculum enhancement opportunities and equipment for all our children.

All parents and carers of children at our school are automatically members of FASA and are welcome to attend any meeting and help at one or all of these events. As you can imagine, such a range of fundraising activities across the school year, requires huge amounts of energies and dedication from those who do volunteer – the more help we have allows the work load to be shared out.

FASA are currently seeking a new committee member to support with the
advertising and promotion of their events. If you are able to offer your support with this aspect of FASA's work please contact Miss Cooper in the School Office or Deborah Varley (Chair of FASA). Many thanks.

ABC Childcare

During the half term holiday ABC will be open on Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th and Thursday 19th February. Please telephone 01270 669050 if you would like to book your child into the holiday club.

Parent Teacher Meetings

A reminder that our Parent/Teacher Meetings are scheduled to take place next week. Please return your slip to your child's class teacher as soon as you can so that all of the appointments can be finalised. Thank you.

Governor Drop Ins at Parent Teacher Meetings

As at previous Parent/Teacher evenings, some of our Governors will be available to meet and speak to parents and carers at the scheduled meetings next week. These sessions are a chance for you to share your views and also to find out more about the important role Governors play in our school.

Reaseheath Lambing Weekends

Reaseheath College are opening their doors for two special weekends to share the springtime lambing experience with families across the area. These special weekends will be on Saturday 28th February/Sunday 1st March and Saturday and Sunday 7th/8th March from 10am – 4pm.

For tickets visit www.reaseheath.ac.uk/lambing

Finally

As you know, we are supporting the work of the British Heart Foundation in school this year as part of our role as a HeartStart school. As well as supporting the charity's Wear It Beat It Day next Friday, some of our staff will be attending training sessions in teaching Basic Life Saving Skills to children over the coming weeks in preparation for our Healthy Week in Summer term.

Many thanks to Mrs Satchithananda and Mrs Sullivan who are leading this training in school, enabling us to provide valuable opportunities for children to learn such important skills as part of our wider curriculum diet.
