Turnpike Field Ragwort control:

So far, so good, but more volunteers are required again on Tuesday (today-- Please!!

Some great progress was made today -- see the before and after photos of the bottom field!

More work is needed on the top field, so as many people as possible would be GREATLY appreciated tomorrow.

The pull will start again from 10.00am -- the Green Lane gate will be open for vehicles, so meet there at 10am.

Please bring garden forks, gloves, long sleeves and vis-vests if you have one. Also wheelbarrows to move the plants to the tip area of the field.

Ragwort is only mildly poisonous and does not pose any significant risk from handling the plant, either from its pollen or from being contact with it. However, the less time handling it the better.
