Yesterday, we published information from this week's School Newsletter. We continue with more today:

Open Morning

We had a very successful Open Morning on Wednesday which was a great opportunity to share all of the wonderful things that happen in our school with new visitors. A special mention must go to our Year 6 guides who showed all of our visitors around school and answered any questions they had. They all did a wonderful job.

Sport Update

Well done to all of the children who braved the wet conditions to represent school in a hockey match against Highfields on Wednesday. The team played brilliantly and won 4-0, delighting Mrs Heathcock and the crowd with their skills!

Well done also to our Cross Country runners who took part in the cross country event at Malbank last night. Mr Griffiths, Mrs Heathcock and Miss Danha were impressed with your energy and efforts.

FASA

You will have received your child's Christmas card designs this week. Please ensure any orders for cards are returned to school by Monday 20th October.

A reminder that the Spooky Disco is drawing closer. Booking places is advisable as places are limited. Please contact Lorna Saunders (07801238819) or Deborah Varley (07940914639) to book a place.

ABC Childcare

ABC is a provider of funded childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and offers a high quality provision across this age range. The criteria for funded 2 year old places in Cheshire East has been extended from September 2014.  To check your eligibility, please contact the Family Information Service on 0300 123 5033 or call Lynsey at ABC on 01270 669050.

Thank you

Many thanks to the Rayne family who have donated a collection of board games for school to use during Golden Time. This is very much appreciated by all of the staff and children.

Thanks also to those families who voted for Annie Goodwin's sausage recipe at Oxtail and Trotters butchers. Her idea of Cranberry, Cheshire Cheese and Chives won – sounds delicious!

Finally

Our next Parent Forum meeting will take place on Wednesday 19th November from 9am – 10am. I will be meeting with the Chair and Secretary of the Forum soon after half term to finalise agenda items.

Please let me know if you have any ideas for discussion at this meeting by emailing me directly or sending a message via the school office.
