Yesterday, we published the first part of this week's school Newsletter as it was particularly important information following a Teaching and Learning Review in school last Tuesday.

Today, we continue with the Newsletter on other school activity:

Ruby class visited MMU on Wednesday to take part in a morning of problem solving through PE. They had a great time; here are a few of their comments:
'We played lots of games and did problem solving which I really enjoyed' Lacey Eldridge 'Everybody loved the games!' Owen Lewis
'It was amazing!' Kory Bebbington
'It was a great trip!' Molly Sullivan

Our Year 4 children will be treating members of a local coffee morning club to some of their super songs from their Victoria Hall performance on Friday morning. I am sure the group members were in for a real treat!

We were fantastically represented by our Key Stage 2 children at the Nantwich and Crewe interschool cross country races on Monday at Malbank High School. Thank you to all participants and supporters who went along. Our school entered a range of races and there were fantastic performances from everyone in the team.

The children in Diamond class are taking part in an art project based on Aztec art for the Audlem Music and Arts Festival to be displayed in the Methodist Church on Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th and Monday 25th of May.

They are working with Christine Johnson creating their own 'masterpieces'. I am sure they will create a wonderful display for the Festival – please look out for it.

News from FASA

A reminder that FASA's AGM meeting will be held in school on Tuesday 19th May at 2.00pm with tea, coffee and cake available from 1.45pm, please do attend if you can. FASA are seeking to appoint a Marketing member of the committee at the AGM, if you are interested in this role please let the School Office know so we can let you know more.

Date for your diary – FASA's next Film Night will be on Tuesday 2nd June from 5pm-7pm.
Thank you for all of the donations you have made to our Rag Bag Bin (situated near our main school gates).

If you have any old clothes, shoes or covers that you are happy to donate, please bag them up and put them into the bin. FASA do a great job of converting these donations into money for school, which helps us to provide a wide range of curriculum enhancement opportunities for children in our school.

ABC Childcare

ABC staff would like to thank all of the children who attend their sessions for helping all of the new starters settle in.

ABC are now offering half price Fridays as well as 2 year old funding for nursery places, please contact ABC on 01270 669050 to find out more.

Keep an eye out for news of ABC's half term holiday clubs and new after school activities coming soon.

Woore Cricket Club

Junior Summer training has begun at Woore Cricket Club and they are looking to recruit new members, of any ability, from the age of 6 upwards. If you would like more information about how your child can get involved with the club, please contact Trudie Bloor on 01630653898 or email her at trudie_bloor@hotmail.com

Finally

I hope all of our families enjoy a lovely (and hopefully sunny!) Bank Holiday weekend. School reopens on Tuesday 5th May; we look forward to welcoming the children back then.
