In amongst all the Beer Festival jollification let a ray of Sunbeam into your life.

Take Courage and come to the weekly music session in the Shroppie Fly from 8.30pm this evening.

It's as successful and varied as ever, having some Pedigree: now been going continuously in Audlem for 13 years, under a variety of Landlords.

All the musicians are keen, though some are Bearly Literate at reading music, but they will hold you Spellbound.  There's no Red Tape here, you just jump in and perform when you feel like it.

The regular musicians are a motley crew but they are Grafters, with a Shropshire Lad, occasionally miserable Old Dog, and even more occasionally a Dizzy Blonde (most likely a visitor on a Narrow Boat or a Rambler).

You may be able to persuade someone to do Cunning Stunt on the hurdy gurdy, or be an Old Thumper on the bodhran.

As the evening progresses a trip through the snooker room may be needed for a Jimmy Riddle, and it's not unusual for singers to get RHATAS-ed by the end of the night and suffer from Wobbly Gob.

So come on, don't be Stonefaced and sit there Old Peculier, eventually fading into Oblivion.  Come and join us, you might just meet some Top Totty.  But there again, you won't find any of this last lot at the Beer Festival!
