Kevin Graham wrote originally yesterday: "Having just moved into 44 Stafford Street, somebody with a key (who should not have a key) let my 5 year old cat out on Monday 19th. He was last seen in the house at 10.30am by a friend but was 'gone' when I arrived home. No break-in and no way out for the cat – someone had a key!

"Could villagers please keep an eye out for my pet – Monkey, a male cat with mainly white fur and smokey grey patches. He is wearing a yellow collar. Thank you."

If Monkey is spotted, please call Kevin on 07740 355672.

STOP PRESS: Kevin writes on Thursday morning: "A big thank you to all villagers that rang me with support or offered assistance during my search. After 3 days and a 90 minute walk in the rain around the village I found my cat. A good result, made better by the kindness of people in a fantastic village."
