Midsummer Music On The Park

This year, it's not Proms on the Park, instead, on 27th June, it's Midsummer Music On The Park. ASET, the Audlem Special Events Team, say: "Join us and a host of stars from London's West End as they perform Songs from Stage and Screen. With music for all tastes, this year's picnic in the park is shaping up to be the best ever ASET event.

"High Society will get the party started with contemporary soul tracks and classic Motown hits. Stars from Beauty and The Beast, Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of Oz and more. will entertain us with favourites from the shows.

"The evening will close with a spectacular fireworks display by Blitz Fireworks. This promises to be a night to remember so bring your picnic and your friends to join us on Audlem playing fields for a very special village family event. Don't miss it!"

On Saturday 27th June, the gates will open at 4pm. The music starts at 6pm. Tickets go on sale this month at Audlem Post Office or you can send a cheque (payable to "ASET") and stamped, addressed envelope to: ASET, Audlem, Crewe, CW3 0AP. Or contact ASET on the ticket hotline – 01270 811211.

Prices are, up to June 22nd, Adult £11, Child £6 and a Family ticket £28 – that's for 2 adults and 2 children. In the week from June 22nd, the prices are £15, £6 and £35 respectively, so it's well worth booking in advance. Children under 5 are free although all children must be accompanied by an adult. Gazebos (pre-booked only) are £35
