Jeanette Shenton is leading the next Mid ARS walk at Knypersley.
Meet at Audlem car park to leave at 08.30.am.
Parking is at Greenway Bank Country Park ST8 7QX where toilets are available.
The 7 mile walk circuits Knypersley reservoir, before rising up through woods out of the valley onto a ridge with far reaching views across 6 counties. A lovely walk contrasting between valley and ridge.
This is an undulating route with several steep ascents, ending with a 94 step climb back to the reservoir. The section across the lower fields will be muddy and there are a number of stiles.
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
