Merry Wives not coming this year

It is with considerable sadness that I have to report that the actors of the Dean Taylor Company will not be performing The Merry Wives of Windsor this year at Buerton House.

The company has many calls on their tour and this year, the eighth such since the first presentation, is planned in such a route that we will not be entertained by this excellent Shakespearean group of players.

Dean, the producer and star player, is vey saddened but sends his apologies. Those who have been to the gardens – see our photo of The Tempest in 2010 – to witness such depth of talent in Buerton will, I feel sure, miss them. Those yet to see a play here will have to wait for next year.

My apologies to all who were looking forward to the Merry Wives of Windsor.
