I write to give an update as to where we are with this very brave attempt to produce a superb village salute to a very worthy cause.

We, the Audlem Music Festival team, met on Monday night after the major Parish Council meeting.

The song – Amazing Grace – we have the backing track in work. The recording and filming work is all in fast track progress.

We now aim to begin with, hopefully, the WI as they meet but once a month and that is on the 6th – tomorrow!

Then to film Janice Spibey as she mans a stall in the Lord C car park on Saturday 8th. Following on from then, we move to, hopefully, capture:

  • Audlem Voices
  • Audlem Marina
  • Audlem Lass crew
  • Fire Station crew
  • Post Office crew
  • Back Row
  • Classics with Alix
  • Billy Gibbons
  • Audlem St James' School
  • Audlem St James' Church
  • Methodist Church
  • Baptist Church
  • 5As Theatrical Group
  • ADCA coffee group
  • Beavers
  • Cubs
  • Brownies
  • Guides
  • Scouts
  • Teri & Hannah
  • Berni's sister
  • Footballers
  • Doctors Team
  • Shooting Group
  • Ric Youle and Friends
  • Kevin Whitfield – Dave Johnson of Signal Radio
  • And any others who wish to make a contribution.
  • Plus some solo singing

Then we will be aiming to have a massed singing and filming on the, hopefully, 29th November (Saturday ) on the St James' Church mound at about 1.00pm. For this last big shoot all are welcome.

We have song sheets and prompt boards and the DVD sleeve – all given free by Audlem Printers.

Do contact me on rjw@notrubraw.com or 07813 820157 if you need clarification etc.

Fingers crossed.
