Many in Audlem have been enjoying the FatPigeonLive Sessions which go out on a Tuesday evening at 8:00pm. Tonight we're in for a treat. The Pigeons have stumbled across a truly remarkable young singer. At only 19, Megan Dixon Hood has already released two acclaimed EPs, songs from which were featured by the late great Sir Terry Wogan shortly before his death.
Megan has performed across Europe, composed music for a theatre performance at the Lowry and written soundtracks for TV commercials featured on ITV. Not only that, but those of you who've ever enjoyed a coffee at Cafe Nero, may well have heard her song 'Early Morning Riser' as the cafe includes this track in their worldwide playlist!
If that weren't enough, local rock guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick is also featured in tonight's broadcast, performing a clever blues tune with Climax Blues Band front-man Les Hunt, and the legendary Stevie Hayes. This feature, was filmed right here in Audlem.
You could watch every episode of X-Factor that's every been broadcast, and you'd never hear talent quite like this! It's all happening right here in the village. Make sure you tune in tonight at 8:00pm. You can click on the picture above to watch live.
Remember you can also be part of FatPigeonLive this coming Saturday, by joining the studio audience for what promises to be an excellent evening of music. Further information is available on the FatPigeonLive website here.
