A matter of time...

..and it was, 30 years since Daystar Theatre took to performing live theatre along the canals and waterways and latterly Rural theatre venues.

It was however, only a matter of time before they were actually invited to put on one of their performances, here in their own village. Finally, after 25 years of living in Audlem, the invite arrived.

Not that Daystar don't have a local fan base, indeed they do, with many familiar faces turning up at the numerous venues across the length and breadth of the nation.

#Transformation
Last Saturday night the Scout and Guide Hall did its transformation act to provide an intimate cabaret style of Rural theatre and the venue for Daystar Theatre, and their production of '... a 'matter of time', performed to a sell out audience.

Written and performed by a cast of two, we are introduced to six distinctive characters woven in to a story line based in an idyllic rural setting you may find familiar. The quality of the performances is, as you would expect from a professional theatre company, two fine actors fetching alive the multiple personalities in this intriguing play with its underlying sci-fi theme.

#Professional
No less are the lighting and sound effects that paint the scenes on what is basically an empty stage, bar a couple of hat stands and minimal props. The professionally recorded sound track, written, performed and recorded at the Hollow floor studio in Audlem by local musicians, adds a style synonymous with Daystar Theatre productions.

Have no doubt, if the ticket price were reflective of a night at the theatre, a night at the theatre you have had!

A well deserved thank you from the audience signalled the witnessing of a fine performance, and the buzz from the after show conversations ran well into the evening.

#Next Time
A matter of time? Not so long next time, as plans are a foot to put on another of Daystar's performances this October.
