Massey Family and Moss Hall

Readers will perhaps recall that we published an article from Margaret Adderley who was researching the Massey Family and Moss Hall. We were recently sent this email from Murray Walker and have put him in touch with Margaret. We look forward to being able to publish more background in the coming weeks.

I have only today come across the article on Moss Hall on the Audlem website but if Margaret Adderley is still seeking information re the Masseys I am descended from George W Massey and Bridget (de) Pershale.

George was born at Moss Hall in 1620 and the couple lived at Denfield. I know the early history of the de masci and after arrival in England(1066) their original seat was Dunham Massey until 1458.

I would be very interested in knowing more about Moss Hall, Denfield and Tatton. Please, if still possible, send on my information to Margaret.
