Police Officers on a special Rural Patrol in the Nantwich area are offering free security marking for pushbikes as an added "extra".

The patrol, on Saturday December 12th, will tour villages in the large rural area covered by Nantwich Neighbourhood Policing Unit, giving people the chance of a face to face talk with local officers about any issues which are causing them concern.

Constable Sarah Marson said, "Since we introduced them a few months ago, the tours have had a good response. We offer people a cup of tea or coffee so we thought the SmartWater bike-marking would be something else we could provide."

"It's a real deterrent to thieves and it's very quick. People can just bring their bikes along and our Police Community Support Officers, Sharon Jones and Nick Jarvis will do the marking."

The patrol will be visiting Audlem on December 12th from 1.00pm – 2.00pm on Audlem car park.
