A reminder that the A529 between Adderley and Audlem will be closed from Monday 25th from 9.00am until 5.00pm each day for over a month for road repairs by Shropshire County Council.
Shropshire County Council say: Essential maintenance work will take place throughout August 2016 on the A529 north of Adderley, near Market Drayton.
The work will involve the laying of 5,300 tonnes of surfacing materials to provide structural and geometric improvements and the renewal of the failed highway drainage system. Repairs to a damaged bridge parapet will also be undertaken.
Due to the width and alignment of the road, it will need to be closed to traffic while work is carried out.
As a result, the road will be closed from Monday 25th July to Wednesday 31st August 2016 and signed diversions will be in place.
As work in taking place during the school holidays the road closures and diversions will be restricted to the hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This will ensure that:
Letters have been sent to all residents and businesses in the area to advise them about the planned work and information signs have been put in place.
