March the Month

Woody and I completed March the Month raising a glass, or maybe two, at The Shroppie Fly to all fellow Marchers and those who can no longer March.

Woody has completed 429,928 steps, 328kms,205miles and just short of 8 marathons with me, so April will mainly see us walking to the field with the Chuck-it stick and ball.

I undertook the walk to raise funds but the more I spoke to people it became clear that there is need for increased awareness as Prostate Cancer is seen as a 'private' matter not openly talked about, which is somewhat crazy given 1 in 8 men will get Prostate Cancer in their lifetime and of those 1 in 5 will not win the battle against the cancer.

Awareness is a key to early diagnosis and treatment, increasing the chances of a positive outcome.

Thank you to all those in the Audlem Community that have kindly donated and provided support to Woody and I during our March, it made a real difference. With my companion we have so far raised £2,270 for Prostate Cancer UK.
