People in Audlem recently tasted a super selection of gins at an exclusive event held at McCarthy and Stone's Lyme Wood Grange Retirement Living development on Mckelvey Way.
Lyme Wood Grange was a hive of activity, with residents and local retirees enjoying a fantastic array of gin samples while finding out more about their favourite tipples, provided by the Gin Jam Bar, a mobile bar service. Attendees were treated to everything from flavoured gins to the perfect tonic.
The event also saw McCarthy and Stone donate £200 to the Overwater Wheely Boat Services, as well as a resident from Lyme Wood Grange agreeing to become a volunteer for the organisation. The Overwater Wheely Boat Services is a non-profit making enterprise run in conjunction with The Wheelyboat Trust to provide boat trips on the Shropshire Union Canal, one of the most scenic canals in the country.
Fiona Brooks, Divisional Sales Director at McCarthy and Stone, commented: "We are delighted that so many local people were able to join our Lyme Wood Grange Retirement Living development for a fun afternoon of gin tasting.
"The event provided an opportunity for residents to socialise and to expand the already vibrant community at Lyme Wood Grange; while visitors were able to explore the development and find out more about the stunning apartments available. It was a great way of involving Audlem residents in just one of the many exciting and interesting activities that take place at Lyme Wood Grange."
Lyme Wood Grange features a stunning communal lounge, ideal for enjoying a catch-up with friends and neighbours; beautifully landscaped gardens, which are fully maintained by McCarthy and Stone's expert team; and a guest suite, which is available for when family members and friends come to stay.
For added peace-of-mind, a House Manager will take care of the smooth-running of the development, as well a 24 hour emergency call system should assistance be needed day or night.
Lyme Wood Grange's rural location in the village of Audlem perfectly combines an unspoilt traditional feel with a thriving community. The Shropshire Union Canal runs through the heart of the village, where barges meander their way through the nearby 15 rising locks, designed by the iconic Thomas Telford.
Lyme Wood Grange features only two one-bedroom apartments remaining and 11 two-bedroom apartments, with prices currently starting from £225,000. There is also the option to choose from a range of flexible retirement living solutions to suit, whether purchasing outright, renting, or taking advantage of the part buy, part rent options.
More than nine out of ten customers would recommend McCarthy and Stone to a friend, ensuring it has received the full Five Star award for customer satisfaction from the Home Builders Federation for 14 years' running. McCarthy and Stone is the only UK housebuilder of any size or type to achieve this accolade for 14 consecutive years, which is every year the awards have been run.
