Lord C Quiz Nights

As many well know, I run the very popular Quiz Night at the Lord Comberere and do so every Tuesday night. Except Christmas Day!!

We have been holding quiz nights now for over 20 years so must have presented some 50,000 questions to tax the quizzers. Many of whom are very regular attendees enjoying a good night that is not too serious. We have presented quiz night in The White Lion. The Bridge and now for the past 9 years here in Allan & Jo's wonderful community minded pub. And with those superb sandwiches and chips served around 2200.

I started out helping Sue Poole and then graduated to just me. To be joined by the late Mike Haines and we held quiz night together for nearly 9 years.

A note for diaries. We will hold a Charity Quiz night for FASA – friends of Audlem Primary School – on the 13th of November and then the Big Christmas Buffet night quiz on the 18th of December – this in aid of the very valuable Hospital Car Service run by ADCA for the benefit of all in the village and surrounding area with their appointments. Funds are needed for this very valuable service with volunteer drivers doing the runs.

At that event – the 18th – I present a sumptuous buffet paid for from the surplus monies I build from the £1 a head entry fee we ask at quiz time.

To close, last night we had one or two who came with Halloween in mind. As can be seen by one of my very welcome quizzers from the Marina with her glorious face paint!!
