Peter Kay is leading the next Long ARS on Saturday 9th March leaving Audlem Car Park at 8.30 am

This is a 9 mile easy/moderate upland 3 booter from the Mam Nick car park near Edale in Derbyshire. It goes south to Sparrowpit via Oxlow Rake and Peak Forest and returns over Rushup Edge. On a good day there should be fine views of the Kinder plateau and the Edale valley. 1000ft ascent mostly gradual with one short steepish climb.

Leave Audlem Town Hall car park 8.30.

NB. The Mam Nick car park is given a post code of S33 8WA but this will only get you in the general area! The actual park is just below MamTor itself, south of Edale. Charge is £5/day payable only by card. National Trust members free.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.

Kid regards
Jean
