The next Long ARS walk around Wem and Moreton Corbet on Saturday 13th October is being led by Kate and Geoff McKennan;
Meet Audlem car Park at 8.30 am.
An attractive 12 mile circular walk from Wem car park (for which there is a charge, so bring coins), lunching at Morton Corbet castle ruins and back to Wem. Walking is on tracks, (part of the Shropshire Way), lanes , across fields and through woods,
The going is moderate – no steep climbs except one flight of steps. Most styles are dog friendly and we will cut back the scratchy bits.
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
Kind regards
Jean
