Lock 15 Gardens

For some years now a group of local folk have been gardening plots beside the canal at Lock15. The group are part of the ADAPT, the sustainability group in the village.

The land has been Adopted from the Canal and River Trust as part of their policy to involve community groups in care for parts of the canal. At the present there are seven members of the group but with a couple relinquishing their plots at the end of last season it means that there are several plots available for anyone who would like to join the group.

The plots are intended for growing vegetables with a mix of flowers, wild or cultivated in addition. The group seeks to garden organically so we do not use artificial fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides.
