Local turnpike routes and, in particular, Audlem's local trust, the Whitchurch and Madeley Turnpike Trust, is the subject at the next History Society meeting on Thursday 16th February. at 7.30pm.
Our speaker is Keith Lawrence, well-known local historian and author of a study of Nantwich's turnpikes.
The meeting will take place, as usual, in the Scout and Guide Hall in Cheshire Street.
Visitors and new members are particularly welcome.
