Local plans for Nantwich & Crewe

Town Strategies are being prepared by the local community with support from Cheshire East Council to set out the vision and strategy for the future development of towns in Cheshire East over the next 20 years.

The strategies consider how new development can help to deliver the vision for a town, how the environment is to be enhanced and what improvements to infrastructure (such as roads and schools) are needed. 

Draft Town Strategies are currently being prepared for Crewe and Nantwich locally and a number of other towns. Each of the draft Town Strategy documents is supported by a draft Sustainability Appraisal, which will be available for public consultation alongside the draft Town Strategies.

Public consultation on these documents will take place between the 31st August and 1st October 2012. Exhibitions will be held in the libraries in each of the towns and hard copies of the consultation material, including copies of the consultation documents and questionnaires, will be made available in all of the libraries, Customer Service Centres in Crewe and Macclesfield and the Council's offices at Westfields from the 31st August 2012 until the 1st October 2012.
