A reminder that at tonight's (Thursday) Live Music night this week at the Lord Combermere, hosted by Audlem's own Duffey boys, you will see a local musician not often seen performing live, a virtuoso guitar player, Mike Vaughan.

A Professor of Music at Keele University, Mike rarely performs in public so this is a great opportunity to hear his fantastic range of guitar styles. Also on Thursday's billing will be KirstyJack. This local duo are pulling together a great acoustic set – those that have heard them will certainly not want to miss this appearance, and those that haven't, well it's a great chance to get down and see what all the excitement is about. The music is from around 9.00pm.

A number of people have asked about details of live music at the Shroppie Fly which Audlem Online used to carry each week in our Events calendar. Since the Shroppie Fly launched is own website, the details are on that. This can always be accessed with one click from the Audlem Online Homepage on 'Shroppie Fly' in the list of sponsors. This week the live music at the Shroppie is Izon-Paradise on Friday night and Casino on Saturday, both from 9.30pm.

On the subject of live music, Audlem's John Gunstone is featured in this week's Chronicle along with recent Audlem resident Jim Kirkpatrick. The story covers their playing with Bernie Marsden of Whitesnake on tour. See Audlem Online's story from 15th November for details of the rehearsals in Audlem and their Nantwich gig on 11th December.
