Following on from the success of last year's Oxjam fund-raising event, a reminder about this year's music fundraiser.

It will take place this Sunday 7th October in the afternoon and evening at The Lord Combermere.

This is your opportunity to enjoy a day of excellent music whilst supporting a worthy local charity. The Paul Murfin Foundation for Young Drummers was set up in memory of Paul Murfin, a local drummer who tragically died in a motorbike accident last year.

Paul was a delightful man and an inspirational percussionist who performed regularly at the Audlem Festival.

Many of the musicians who worked with Paul over the years will be in attendance including rock/pop sensations Live Wires, Smoke Screen, Doog and the Gang, the Greg Murray Band and Audlem favourite Mark Stevens. Plus, lots of guests.

Mark Stevens and Paul performed together as part of the closing gig at the 2011 Audlem Festival.

Entrance to the performances will be free, but members of the team will be collecting donations on the day. For more information, please contact the webteam. We look forward to seeing you.

Sunday promises to be a great day of top quality live music. Enjoy!
