All six candidates for the Eddisbury constituency have agreed to a live debate in Audlem hosted by AudlemOnline in Audlem Methodist Hall this evening, Friday 1st May. They are:

  • Antoinette Sandbach (Conservative Party)
  • George Antar (CISTA – Cannabis is Safer than Alcohol)
  • Andrew Garman (Green Party)
  • James Laing (Labour Party)
  • Ian Priestner (Liberal Democrats)
  • Rob Millington (UK Independence Party – UKIP)

There will be room for a live audience of 50 – on a first come, first served basis – and the debate will be streamed live (subject to wi-fi etc) to The Lord Combermere and AudlemOnline. It will run from 8.00pm until 10.00pm latest.

The six candidates will open the debate with a five minute statement each before we move on to questions that have been posed by AudlemOnline readers and local residents.

We have received a wide range of questions and the final list to be put to the candidates, which will cover both national and more local issues, will be selected today.

If you can, do join us this evening for what we hope will be an informative and entertaining evening. Seats in the hall will be limited as we have a number of cameras in the room but, hopefully, the technology will allow you to follow it on AudlemOnline and in the The Lord C.

Failing live streaming, the debate will be shown on AudlemOnline as soon after the event as possible.
