David Scott grew up in the Southeast of England but 12 years ago made the big move north with his wife and family to his wife's home village of Audlem. A keen musician, David was delighted to see that Audlem had such a vibrant music scene.

In 2013, David formed The Amber Lamps with Martin, Nic, and Dave. The Amber Lamps are a 4-piece indie/alt rock band. Driven by twin guitars and soaring vocals, they play a range of anthemic covers from artists including Blur, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, and many others. These covers complement the original material from their first 2 EPs ("Lucky Up" and "Two") and forthcoming first album "Light & Shade" all available on Spotify. The Amber Lamps will be playing at the Cock and Greyhound, Whitchurch, on Saturday 17th September, 20:30. Check them out at www.theamberlamps.band

Daughter Isobel has certainly followed in her father's footsteps as far as music is concerned. She is an accomplished pianist and regularly contributes to events at South Cheshire college where she is studying A Levels and Music Performance. You might have seen her on Sunday mornings playing the entrance and exit music at Audlem Methodist Church on the organ. She is also a young leader with 1St Audlem Guides.

Isobel is also a keen drummer but her main passion is bass guitar which she self-taught, and she is part of recently formed 4-piece noise rock band Myria (which also includes Leo, Ben, and Charlie) who met a South Cheshire college. Taking their influences from Dinosaur Junior, Sonic Youth, Metz and Idles, they have a complex guitar and vocal landscape with strong backing from drum and bass.

Both bands recently played at the hugely successful Audlem Music Festival.
