Lights on Weaver bridge again

Regular users of the A525 to Whitchurch will hardly be surprised to see traffic controls back on the Weaver bridge just to the west of Audlem.

Only a short time after the bridge's parapet was repaired after an accident earlier in the summer, another unfortunate accident has demolished the same part of the bridge again.

Unlike in nearby villages such as Wybunbury, there are normally no priority signs on the relatively narrow bridge over the Weaver – until, of course, this latest return of the traffic lights.
