The Life and Times of Admiral Beatty

On Thursday May 19th Paul Blurton will talk on 'The life and times of Admiral Beatty'.

Stapeley nr Nantwich can lay claim to be the birthplace of this dashing, well connected naval officer who worked his way through the ranks culminating, just after WW1 and the battle of Jutland, in being made First Sea Lord and an Earl. I am sure charisma had something to do with his success.

The talk starts at 7.30pm in the Scout and Guide Hall, Cheshire St., Visitors are very welcome, schoolchildren and full time students free, others £3. Refreshments are served afterwards when there will be a chance to talk to the speaker.
