Over the past couple of weeks there have been three burglaries in the Audlem area at the following locations:

Daisy Bank Crescent, Audlem – around the 31st October – valuable pottery taken from a dwelling; Dodds Green Lane, Burleydam on 21st October when computer equipment and jewellery was taken from a dwelling;

Woodhouse Lane, Audlem – overnight on 3rd/4th November when power tools were taken from secure outbuildings.

On the 20th October at 10:30pm two men were disturbed in the garden of a

house in Daisy Bank. They are described as follows: one was in his thirties – short and stocky with a deep voice and wearing dark clothing and a woolly hat. The other's age not known – taller and slimmer than the first man and also wearing dark clothing. When challenged, the men said that they were in the private lane "just to

see where it went."

Clearly there is good reason to suspect that these men were responsible for

the subsequent burglary at premises on that lane. In view of this recent spate of offences PC Ken Maple asks that people are extra vigilant in watching out for unusual activity or suspicious persons or vehicles. Please report anything of concern through the usual numbers or e-mail to Ken Maple.

The main Constabulary number is 0845 458 0000 or the Nantwich CAT voicemail is 0845 458 6378 and of course, use 999 in an emergency.
