We can now reveal the news that Audlem has been waiting for – the identity of the "local licensees" referred to in the news item on The Bridge Inn dated 17th January.

Ken and Linda Roberts of Windmill Farm House, Buerton have contacted us with the following message:

"We would like to introduce ourselves as the new owners of the lease at The Bridge Inn at Audlem. We have been in the local area for the past 20 years. Many of you will remember us from The White Lion in Hankelow where we helped Linda's parents, Brenda and Keith Gerrard. We both have a good knowledge of the restaurant/inn trade and hope to put this to good use. Our aim is to provide a first class dining experience with an emphasis on local home cooked produce and to provide our locals with a fine selection of Marstons Real Ales etc.

"The Bridge will be family run with our daughter running the kitchen and my wife and I front of house and I am sure our son James will help out from time to time. This is a very exciting opportunity for us to run The Bridge after it being fully refurbished and extended and we are looking forward to meeting you all in the near future.
