Audlem has a connection with the Royal Wedding yesterday of Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle.

Local lad Shahid Latham-Remtulla was one of the 3,000+ Thames Valley Police Force in attendance, lining the route of the royal carriage, which travelled from St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, through Windsor Town to St George's Hall.

Shahid grew up in Audlem, worked at the Shroppie Fly and his family still live in the village.
